Top 5 Android Applications for faking things in front of your friends and family

One or all of these applications may come handy to you in many situations, not just for fun (which is definitely  there) but helpful in a true sense.

Following applications will help you fake yourself or things on your Android Phone helping you to fool your friends and family. I will also try to list examples of situations in which the respective application can prove helpful so that you are ready before it comes.

1.

The first application I would like to discuss is Fake a text.

Download LinkFake-A-Text

This application will help you send yourself a Fake SMS from any number you want it to at a preset time. After installing this application you will get the option to create a New Text message, enter the number from where you want to get this SMS (you can also select the contact and set the time you want to receive it at. Boom! You will get a "1 New Message" on  your screen exactly the way you get notification when actual text comes.

Now, this can come handy to you in many situations like when you want to show any of your friend or may be even your boss for that matter that you have received an urgent text from your Brother and you urgently need to leave :)

2.

This application is my favorite one and is always installed on my Android phone as it comes handy to me when any of my friend asks me to send my location on Whatsapp (famous Android application to chat with your friends). Whatsapp comes with location sending feature which we (me and my friends) frequently use to send our locations when the other requests to see if someone is with his Girlfriend and telling us that he cannot come with us as he is not well and so sleeping at home. This problem of sending location lead me to find this "fake GPS location" application that helps me disguise my location.

So, after installing this application and launching it, you will get a search box where you need to enter name of the place you want to be in (virtually) and click Set which will set your current location to that place and a notification will appear in your Android System tray. Now, any application that uses your phone's GPS will identify your current location to the place you set like Google Maps, Whatsapp, etc. When ever you decide you bring your location back to current simply click on the Fake GPS notification that is showing up in System Tray and hit Stop!

3.

Now, like the previous 2 applications, the next application I am going to discuss also has few other applications that help doing the same thing that this application does. This application will help you protect the other applications installed on your Android Smartphone so that other cannot access those applications. Like, if you know that you are not the only one who use your phone and you cannot deny when your friends want to make a call using your phone then this application is a must have. In fact, you should always have this application because we never know if anyone asks for it and we are not able to deny at that moment. There are many other applications like these which prompts to enter a password or pattern lock (if your phone supports it) upon launching any applications that you lock/protect using these applications.
However, this one works little differently in the sense that instead of giving prompts to enter the password this application will give an error message to user telling that application has crashed and the only thing user will be able to click on is Force Close button which will bring the user back to the same place. Witty? Huh :)

Now, after installing the application, when you go into the settings you will be able to set the hidden options basis what you want to do when that error pops up. These setting will be under the Unlock Modes. Selecting any of those, you will be able to launch the protect application. Here are the various unlock modes available:

-- Double tap dialog message : If you select this you would have to double tap the message body of the error that comes up to open the protected application

-- Five tap dialog message: Selecting this you would have to double tap the message body of the error that comes up to open the protected application

-- Rotation: Rotate your phone starting from facing your phone up

-- Double Rotation: Double Rotate in this case

-- Password: Using this, you would click on the report button on the crash error which will bring you a fake Crash Report form where you would need to enter your password

-- Proximity: Selecting this, you would have keep your finger on the proximity sensor that should be somewhere on the top part of the screen

4.

Now, this application may become useful for more number of people but please ensure to read the Terms and Conditions of the application before installing it and as it say, please never use it for any illegal activities or for spamming.

Download Link - Fake Mailer

This application will allow you to send anonymous emails to any email address. That means the receiver of the email will not come to know as to who has sent the particular email. However, do remember, for security purposes the developer has imposed a 3 emails limit in a day on this application. That means, you would not be able to send more then 3 emails in 24 hours duration.

5.

The last application I am going to share will help you in avoiding anyone who asks you to share your phone to make a quick call and send a message.

Download Link - Fake Battery

Using this application, will bring the image of Low Battery message on your screen and image asking "Please Connect Charger". So, launch this application and show it people when they ask you for your phone and tell them battery is going to die! :)

It has really improved the standards of our life. But this article is not a debate between pros and cons of smartphones.

This article will help you understanding the bandwidth usage done by these new generation phones (many a times without your knowledge). And, in case, you are using a data plan with a limited free bandwidth then you are surely to get surprised upon seeing the bill at the end of the month.

So, whether you do have a data plan that provides good amount of free data to be used before your provider starts charging you for every KB that you use or whether you don't have much free data, it will always be beneficial to understand the approximate data usage done while using particular applications like Facebook or streaming online videos like from youtube.

Refer to the following table to get an idea of the approximate data usage done while performing the tasks mentioned here:

Watching Video on Youtube : 22 MB for 8 minutes of Video
Live Radio Streaming : 30 MB for 20 minutes of Radio
Facebook : 10 MB with 30 minutes of usage
